Thermal engineering increases system reliability by allowing the prediction of eventual faults caused by excessive chip temperatures. Wireless temperature methods provide a simple, powerful and cost effective to temperature data collection. The mobility of the wireless compact temperature monitoring modules allow thermal engineers to collect data from moving objects without the cable constraints.

  • Expedite measurement process x ThermoSpyder communicates with a computer in a wireless network. The number of measurement channels can be easily extended from 8 to 400 by simply adding more ThermoSpyders to the network. There is no extra work to connect signal cables from ThermoSpyders to the central computer. Test wizard detects the channels with disconnected thermocouple wires before a test starts.

  • Synchronized time stamping for temperature data from multiple modules All ThermoSpyders in the same network are synchronized with a universal network clock. It allows thermal engineers to easily compare thermal events at multiple measurement locations with accurate timings.

  • Extend measurement distance The communication distance between two ThermoSpyders or one ThermoSpyder to a central computer can be as far as 100 feet. The communication distance can be easily extended further by adding Barkers to the network. The Barker forward data from ThermoSpyders or another Barker which locate more than 100 feet away from a central computer.

  • Display dynamic temperature events in real time The compact packaging and the wireless features allow ThermoSpyders to be mounted on the objects in motion and report and display temperatures in real time at dynamic test activities.

  • Maintain an environment chamber seal x The features of thermal insulation and wireless communication allow ThermoBiscuit to locate inside a thermal chamber. There is no signal cable passing through the thermal chamber seals. It provides a better thermal leakage control for an environment chamber.

  • A cost-effective solution A extendable ThermoSpyder system costs less than 70 US dollars per channel. Multiple networks can operate in the same laboratory simultaneously without signal interference.
