The point of Origin is Los Altos, CA 94022. This means that Magna Systems pays the freight charges, the buyer bears the freight and handling costs, the buyer owns the goods while in transit and the buyer files for any claims that might arise in the course of shipping. International Ordering Information INTERNATIONAL PRICING: International list prices are FOB Los Altos, California, U.S.A., and do not include shipping, insurance, inland freight, export packing or documentation charges. Custom duties or tariffs imposed by the destination country are to be paid by the customer. Typical customs and delivery expenses can add between 10 % and 15 % to the order price. PAYMENT TERMS: Prepayment is the normal method for direct international orders. There is a USD$30 charge for prepayment orders for handling and bank transfer costs. For letter of credit or CAD, there is a USD$300 minimum handling charge to cover the costs associated with these payment methods. General Ordering Information DISCOUNTS: A 5 % discount is offered for quantities of 15 or more units of a single model, or for orders of several models placed at the same time in excess of USD $10,000. DELIVERY: Most of our products are available from stock. Products are normally shipped within a few days after receipt of an order, or upon receipt and bank clearance of your payment for direct export purchase orders. For payment by letter of credit, shipment is made upon receipt of the formal letter of credit. REPAIR and CALIBRATION: Price for evaluation, repair and/or calibration (for original owners) is normally 10 % of the current instrument price, with a minimum charge of $200. If damage is severe or test data is required, there may be additional charges. Equipment being returned for repair or calibration must be accompanied by a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number issued by Magna Systems, L.L.C. A certificate of calibration is available at no charge if specified at the time an order is placed. There is a $50 charge per unit for calibration certificates requested after the equipment has shipped. WARRANTY: All instruments, unless otherwise stated, are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of shipment. SPECIAL ORDERING/PAYMENT TERMS: Any deviation from our standard method of order processing and invoicing is subject to a 2.5 % (minimum) charge. Deviations include letters of credit, third party billing, online ordering/invoicing, payment terms exceeding 30 days, and others. |
